Purpose of this Blog

It is the individual who drives people into war, hate and destruction and not the Religion. We should not give cover to those who slap their evil onto religion.

It is our duty to keep law and order and faithfully guard the safety of every citizen. Hate is one of the many sources of disrupting the peace in a society and it is our responsibility to track down the source of such hate and work on mitigating it.

We have an obligation to maintain a balance in the society. When we are at peace, we can generate peace and we can expect peace around us. Our words and actions should mitigate conflicts and nurture reconciliation and goodwill

My resopnse to Nonie Darwish's article, "Joys of Muslim Women" follows my comments.

Islam bashing is an industry well funded by those who seek chaos. Individuals like Nonie Darwish, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Wafa Sultan and others fall for the money offers.

Do the people who fund hate talk, hate write and hate actions ever understand that solutions to a peaceful world does not come through hate, but from goodwill?

If some one were to mess up my life, I should blame the men and women and not their nation, race, ethnicity or religon.  If I were to murder someone, its me who needs to be incarcerated, it has nothing to do with my City (Carrollton), my parents, friends or my kids.

Years ago, when I published a newspaper here in Dallas,  a group approached me and offered me real big money to continue to run the paper and wanted me to run it by their agenda and I was amazed they had the audacity to do that, I gues they thought money can buy anything. Thank God I closed the Paper down rather than cherish the "hate money". Check this out, if you want to make serious money, write hate books, do the hate talks.. money is guaranteed, if you sell hate against Muslims at this time, the money is waiting to be had.

Mike: The practice of asking one’s friends or relative’s son or daughter in marriage with their kids at birth is common, the medieval kings did it and in India it is still out there, that is called betrothed and not marriage. Mike: It is a cultural practice in Hindu India as well as Muslim Egypt. In India, it is practiced by Christians as well. Men have burned the brides in India for not bringing the dowry – we cannot call that a Hindu or a Muslim practices, it is the practice of disgusting men and women. Does KKK reflect American Values? Did discrimination represented American values?

Even though a woman is abused she can not obtain a divorce.

Mike: Baloney – Islam was one of the first religions that gave permission to women to seek marriages or divorces.

To prove rape, the woman must have (4) male witnesses.

Mike: It’s to prevent a summary judgment against an innocent man. I will add some links about Sharia Laws in the next few questions.

Often after a woman has been raped, she is returned to her family and the family must return the dowry. The family has the right to execute her (an honor killing) to restore the honor of the family. Husbands can beat their wives 'at will' and do not have to say why she was beaten.

Mike: Who is Nona duping? She can cash it as much as she can from the dumb suckers for this non-sense. I have witnessed many such incidents – the Jewish community in Los Angeles did a walk out on Wafa Sultan for the bogus lies she said about Muslims, and one of the producers showed a documentary on anti-Semitism in Europe with cooked up items to frighten the crap out of the older Jewish men and women and collect cash.

The husband is permitted to have (4 wives) and a temporary wife for an hour (prostitute) at his discretion.

Mike: The first part is true and 2nd Part is false. The Bush aggression in Iraq has put over quarter million women on the streets. The sole support for these women – husband, brother, father or a relative is killed in the mayhem. There is no one to care for them or feed them, they are selling flesh and perhaps with that goes STD’s. When a man gives them a shelter (all men, be it American, Chinese or Cherokees look for sex in them). The woman has lost her self esteem, and the whole society is affected by it with diseases of illicit sex and taking advantage of the needy. It is during this situation a man is allowed to marry up to four women – with the permission of his first wife to ensure it is not lust but social care. That woman needs to be given dignity and respect and not looked at as an object. Of course abuses and loopholes are always there; even our elected presidents have abused the power.

Most Muslims do not practice this, but some do it for lust. How many priests, Rabbis and Senators have been cheating on their wives? The Islamic method is legal method and I can see the value of it in Iraq, but I do not support that. I trust men to care for the women who are disadvantaged without taking advantage of them.

The Shariah Muslim law controls the private as well as the public life of the woman.

Mike: Shariah laws are for both men and women. They are not divine by any stretch of the imaginations, although in Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Pakistan and Afghnistan they have made attempts to call it divine. It has two parts: 1) Sharia for individuals - deals with the how to of worship and ii) Sharia for public – deals with crimes, inheritance, marriage, divorce etc– the intent was indeed justice, but over the years it has been abused and Muslims do not favor Sharia Laws and certainly Muslims in America, Canada and other democracies prefer the Civil laws of the society as they serve justice.

In the Western World (America) Muslim men are starting to demand Shariah Law so the wife can not obtain a divorce and the men can have full and complete control of the wife. It is amazing and alarming how many of our sisters and daughters attending American Universities are now marrying Muslim men and submitting themselves and their children unsuspectingly to the Shariah law.

Mike: In the last month, I personally had six calls from women wanted to convert to Islam, as they have studied the right books and not the ones dished out by hate mongers. I discourage one to convert and asked them to spend time on their own faith and learn about it. However, if they insist on it, I give suggestions – it is free will and free choice. This last month two white girls a Mormon in SD and a Baptist in Denver converted on their own. They are still single and are journalists.

It makes sense for the extremists among Christians and Jews to find the Nona’s to malign the religion and stop conversions. Indeed, the Neocons in Europe in the 10th Century paid money to mis-translate Qur’aan as a cult to rob the support of their subjects and wage the holy war against Muslims. It was all political, but they succeeded in making it a religious one, they even duped he pope to issue a fatwa against Muslims.

She recently authored the book, Cruel and Usual Punishment: The Terrifying Global Implications of Islamic Law.

Darwish was born in Cairo and spent her childhood in Egypt and Gaza before emigrating to America in 1978. When she was eight years old, her father died while leading covert attacks on Israel . He was a high-ranking Egyptian military officer stationed with his family in Gaza .

When he died, he was considered a "shahid," a martyr for jihad. His posthumous status earned Nonie and her family an elevated position in Muslim society.

But Darwish developed a skeptical eye at an early age. She questioned her own Muslim culture and upbringing. She converted to Christianity after hearing a Christian preacher on television.

In her latest book, Darwish warns about creeping Shariah Law - what it is, what it means, and how it is manifested in Islamic countries.

For the West, she says radical Islamists are working to impose Shariah on the world. If that happens, Western civilization will be destroyed.

In twenty years there will be enough Muslim voters in the U.S. To elect the President! I think everyone in the U.S. Should be required to read this, but with the ACLU, there is no way this will be widely publicized, unless each of us sends it on!

What is Sharia

Sharia in its simplest form is a "HOW-TO MANUAL" based on Quraan and the Hadith (Prophet Muhammad's sayings). It it is a human effort to understand the concept of Justice enshrined in Qur'aan for living a day to day life.

The private domain of the manual is about the relationship between an individual and the creator, whereas the public domain of the Sharia law is about the relationship between the individual and the society.

The contentious issues stem from treatment of; divorce, women's rights, inheritance, theft, adultery and apostasy. Our focus is in understanding and bringing forth various opinions and thoughts to get a grasp of the system.

The core value of Islam is Justice. The violations of justice and the rule of law are found in every faith, culture and political traditions at varying degrees. No community can cast the first stone.

Sharia industry has been built with strong fortifications to the point that many a Muslims are caused into believing that Sharia is divine. Justice is one of the core values of Islam and Sharia should be looked from that lens and not vice-versa.

It is like the defense industry, tax preparers industry or the Holocaust industry - where they make it so complicated that they are needed. It is their business protection plan.

Islam is a simple religion for one to follow and be accountable for his or her actions. We don't need an industry and Islam does not have clergy built into it.

We can retain the private Sharia and let go of the public sharia, the civil laws of the nation provide ample justice and we don't need a duplicate system. It is not divine to begin with to hang on to it.

Roots of Islamophobia in the early Orientalist Translations

The first Qur'an translation was into Latin by Robert of Ketton in 1143. It was made at the request of the Abbot of the monastery of Cluny. (abounds in inaccuracies)

Another Latin translation by Ludovicus Marracci was published in 1698. It was supplemented with quotes from Qur'an commentaries "carefully juxtaposed and sufficiently garbled so as to portray Islam in the worst possible light" (Colin Turner,1997 p. xii).

The title of the introductory volume of such translation was A Refutation of the Qur'an.

Such translations formed the foundation for a number of subsequent translations into English, French, Italian, German, etc.

The first English translation was that of Alexander Ross published in 1649. In his introduction, Ross says "I thought good to bring it to their colours, that so viewing thine enemies in their full body, thou must the better prepare to encounter … his Alcoran" (p. A3).

Foundationless castles

You may discover to your chagrin, that many of the Neocon Doctors on Islam have built their castles on wrong foundation. In fact Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell, Billy Graham Junior's information on Islam comes from these falsities.

When the European Kings were attacked by the invading Arab Armies, one of the ways they could get their subjects to defend their Kingdoms was through a campaign of hate.

They roped in the pope to issue a fatwa against 'infidel' Muslims, then paid the evil writers to mis-translate the Qur'aan with the intent of enraging the good Christians to go on crusades to kill the infidels. This is one part of the equation, the second part is even the Arab Kings had the Qur'aan mistranslated to enrage Muslims against the other infidels. Neither Islam nor Christianity would have approved any of the non-sense of crusades, inquisitions and other massacres. It was all done to protect and annex the lands that belonged to each other.

I wish the average Christians and Muslims had not fallen into the trap of hatred for the gains of the dead Kings and today's virtual Live Kings with similar goals of controlling resources with no care for their faith or human lives.

It is time for the humanity to go for the truth. All religions were issued by the creator for the individuals to find a balance and peace for themeselves and with other humans and environment.

The truth is all religions are for the good of mankind, where ever you see wickedness, it has the non-Godly element in it.
